Create an anointing oil blend – this blend will slow down the “monkey mind” and allow you to deeper relax your body.
I recommend 5 drops of Sandalwood, 10 drops of Frankincense and 10 drops of Bergamot topped up with a carrier oil
(FCO – fractionated coconut oil known as liquid coconut oil is ideal) in a 10ml roller bottle.
Apply on temples and forehead (third eye chakra).
2. Wake up and shine
Diffuse Wild Orange and Peppermint in your Petal diffuser to feel uplifted and invigorated during your morning practice.
This combination is called “Focus” and it turns grumps into happy early birds.
Peppermint is “the oil of the buoyant heart” after all!
3. Courage to play your edge
By taking on a more challenging asana either by going deeper or holding for longer.
Tuning into your response when you feel your edges.
I use an emotional blend called “Motivate” on my pulse points (mint and citrus essential oils)
to give me courage, confidence and belief.
4. Get creative
“make and do” – create your own DIY yoga mat spray, eye pillow with essential oils,
meditation balm or chakra roller bottle blend.
Recipes to follow.
This is the most important pose – this is when your body comes back
into balance and you completely let go of physical, emotional and mental tensions.
Adding essential oils into this alchemy can deepen the process further. A combination of Geranium and Lavender or Ylang Ylang and Cedarwood used over the forehead area or by allowing people to inhale will assist in quietening the mind and in the creation of the alpha brainwave state.
